In this small sample of 4 official London café menus checked on 25 October 2026, a hot flat white is listed at £4.00–£4.30. The median of these four listed prices is £4.15. These are menu observations from four businesses, not a London-wide average: none of the menus publishes the flat white’s volume, so the drinks cannot be compared on a like-for-like serving-size basis. Use the table to plan a visit and check what extras could change your bill.
The four-menu sample
We selected four businesses already in the directory with directly accessible official menus. Each row names one branch. Carbon Kopi links the same menu from Barons Court and Fulham; it contributes one observation rather than getting twice the weight. The sample covers Peckham, Leather Lane, Barons Court and Wandsworth, rather than all London neighbourhoods.
Prices below are for the listed hot flat white before optional additions. Every row was checked on 25 October 2026. Ukkei labels its menu as last updated in July 2026; the other reviewed menus do not show a clear revision date. The check date tells you when we read a source, not when a business changed its prices.

What the range and median tell you
The four base prices are £4.00, £4.10, £4.20, £4.30. The observed range runs from the lowest to the highest of those entries. With four observations, the median is the average of the middle two: (£4.10 + £4.20) ÷ 2 = £4.15. It describes this table only.
There is no size- and shot-matched subset in the published information: all four volumes are missing, and only Story states that its coffees use a double shot. We have therefore not calculated price per millilitre or per espresso shot. A lower menu price is not, by itself, proof of a cheaper equivalent serving or better value.
Milk, decaf and extra shots can change the total
Prufrock lists oat and dairy with its base milk-coffee price. Its separate 50p extras list includes soy milk, an extra shot, decaf espresso and guest espresso. A £4.10 flat white with one listed 50p extra would be £4.60; ask how several extras are charged rather than assuming one surcharge covers them all.
Story’s Wandsworth menu says oat and almond milk are free, an extra shot is £1 and decaf is 30p extra. Ukkei lists decaf at 50p extra. Milk terms are not published in the reviewed Ukkei and Carbon Kopi menus, so this sample cannot support an oat-milk price comparison across all four businesses.

Check the branch and the way you are ordering
Story’s Wandsworth PDF also states a 12.5% discretionary service charge for table service. That is excluded from our base-price table. The PDF is linked beneath Wandsworth’s listing; we have not applied its prices to Story’s St John’s Hill or Devonshire Square shops.
Before ordering, check the current branch menu, the size and number of shots, your preferred milk, any decaf supplement and whether sitting in changes the bill. A reusable-cup discount, if explicitly offered at that branch, is another separate term to check. Do not assume a policy at one business applies to its neighbours.

Choose a branch that fits your day rather than travelling across London for the smallest number in a four-row table. Each profile below has its address and official website. The linked area guides give you other places to consider nearby.
We aim to review this sample quarterly, next by 25 January 2027, and to fill the missing size and shot details before making a matched comparison. If a price changes first, send the current official branch menu through our correction form. We will update the source record and article date after checking it.
Official online menus checked on 25 October 2026; no purchases, visits or till-price confirmation. Base hot flat-white prices exclude optional extras and discretionary service. Missing details mean not published in the reviewed menu, not free or unavailable. This is a small convenience sample with one branch per business, not a representative London survey.
