Start with a café that actually lists decaf, then ask whether it can make the drink you want. Prufrock on Leather Lane, Story in Wandsworth and Ukkei in Peckham all publish a decaf option on their menus. Below are the named branches, their published supplements and a few questions that help you choose. These are three researched starting points, rather than a ranking of London’s decaf or a guarantee of what is in stock today.
Three menus that explicitly offer decaf
Each menu below lists a flat white and a separate decaf supplement. We have added the two amounts to show a calculated decaf flat-white price before other extras. The named branch matters: Story’s PDF is linked under Wandsworth on its locations page, so its prices should not be applied to the group’s other shops.
All prices were checked online on 25 October 2026. Ukkei labels its menu as last updated in July 2026; the other two menus do not show a clear revision date. A published option establishes something you can ask for, rather than a live stock check.
| Branch | Flat white | Decaf extra | Calculated total |
|---|---|---|---|
| Ukkei Brew Bar — Peckham | £4.00 | +£0.50 | £4.50 |
| Prufrock — Leather Lane | £4.10 | +£0.50 | £4.60 |
| Story — Wandsworth | £4.30 | +£0.30 | £4.60 |

Choose the drink as well as the decaf
Say the whole order: a decaf flat white with dairy milk, for example, or a decaf espresso. Prufrock specifically lists decaf espresso among its extras. An espresso-based decaf option does not establish that a café also has decaf batch brew or a decaf pour-over available. Ask about those brewing methods separately if filter is what you want.
The menus do not publish flat-white volumes. Story says its coffees use double shots; the other two reviewed menus do not establish the shot count. If portion size matters to you, ask before ordering. These three calculated prices are not a comparison of identical servings.

Check milk and sit-in additions
Prufrock lists dairy and oat with its base milk-coffee price; soy appears in the separate 50p extras list alongside decaf espresso and extra shots. If you combine several extras, ask how they are charged. We have not assumed that a single supplement covers both decaf and a milk change.
Story’s Wandsworth menu lists oat and almond milk as free, and a 12.5% discretionary charge for table service. That service charge is excluded from the calculation above. Ukkei’s reviewed menu does not publish alternative-milk terms, so confirm your preferred milk and total at the counter.

Decaf does not mean caffeine-free
The US Food and Drug Administration explains that decaffeinated coffee usually still contains some caffeine. Decaf is therefore not a promise of zero caffeine. That general point does not establish the amount in a particular café’s espresso or flat white.
A menu supplement tells you what it costs to request decaf, rather than providing a caffeine measurement. None of these menus gives a tested caffeine amount for the drink. We have not assigned one from the coffee’s name, price or shot count.
Ask which decaf coffee is being used
A useful question is ‘Which beans are you using for decaf today?’ Follow with the roaster, origin or decaffeination process if one of those helps you choose. We have not established the process used in the drinks at these three branches. A roaster’s retail decaf bag does not, by itself, prove that a particular café is serving that same coffee.
You can also describe what you enjoy: a milk drink, an espresso or something to brew at home. If you are buying a bag as well, check the current label and ask for a grind suited to your brewer. Keep that retail choice separate from what is available to drink at the counter.
Plan around the branch
Use the individual profiles below for the addresses and official links. Ukkei currently lists Thursday-to-Sunday opening, so check the day before choosing it as your only stop. For any branch, recheck the hours and decaf option before a special trip: a menu can stay online after a coffee or supplement changes.
This guide includes only options supported by the reviewed menus. A café missing from the list may still serve decaf; its absence means we have not verified it here. If you find another explicit branch menu, send the link so we can research it for a later update.

Official branch pages and menus checked on 25 October 2026. Decaf flat-white totals are calculated from the published base price plus decaf supplement, not observed receipts. No visits, stock checks, tastings, interviews or laboratory caffeine tests. Serving volumes and branch-specific decaffeination processes are not established by these menus. The FDA source supports the general point that decaf can retain caffeine; no caffeine amount is assigned to these drinks. Check the current branch menu before travelling.
