About Kahaila in Brick Lane

Kahaila introduced itself to Brick Lane in the summer of 2012 with red velvet cake and coffee. It describes itself as a café, a church and a charity, and says it has helped establish four charitable projects, including Luminary Bakery. The café also hosts art, music nights and private events, and is hired out for anything from council consultations to film shoots.

Before you go

Published hours are 8.30am–6pm every day, later than many cafés nearby. Kahaila’s separate Courtyard site is in Hackney Wick; use 135 Brick Lane for this café.

Menus, opening hours and coffee selections change. The official website is the best place to check the latest details before making a special trip.
